Fasiha
Latiff, 25 commented, “It was still surreal for me to become Malaysia’s first
Top Social Influencer, presented by Watsons. Reason being, it was a highly
competitive contest especially from Daniel and Eva. Both of them are very
talented and they gave their most outstanding performances. I would like to say
a special thanks to Watsons and also to my supporters for voting me as Top
Social Influencer.”
From
beauty to lifestyle and health categories, the campaign had also seen through a
diversity of backgrounds among these aspiring social influencers. Behind the
scene, the contestants are real-life and talented make-up artists, established
lifestyle bloggers, entrepreneurs and even play host to local TV and radio
shows too.
Caryn
Loh, Managing Director of Watsons Malaysia shared, “We have a wealth of talents
and creative minds emerge throughout the search of Top Social Influencer. These
aspiring contestants have demonstrated high level of creativity, enthusiasm and
charisma in every challenge.”
Throughout
the digital contest, all participants are personally mentored and judged by
Malaysia’s prolific social influencer, Scha Alyahya. The challenges required
all contestants to be creative and individualistic in their storytelling and
presentation skills. This included recording tutorial videos and writing
engaging captions with Watsons participating products and events. Some of the
postings challenges such as unboxing and reviewing Watsons product,
self-hosting live to engage with followers on Watsons exclusive promotions as
well as simply uploading the best selfie, are key judging criteria for Watsons.
The panel judges
during the finale were Scha Alyahya, the official mentor and one of the most
influential fashion icons joined by Nora Danish, Malaysia’s most prominent
social celebrity and Rubini Sambanthan, Malaysian only representative in Asia
Next Top Model 6 and titleholder for Miss International Malaysia.
Apart from the winning grand prizes, Caryn and Danny also
