COSME DECORTE introduces the all-new Liposome
Treatment Liquid, a ‘super lotion’ that harnesses the power of liposomes to

A liposome is a product of encapsulation technology
that was developed out of the study of cell biology. The structure of liposomes
is similar to that of biomembranes. Composed of phospholipids (the main
component of cell membranes), liposomes measure at 0.1 to 0.2 microns, and are
much smaller than skin cells. Thanks to their capsule form, liposomes can

managed to define a condition whereby the skin’s functions are compromised due
to a weakened stratum corneum. This is primarily caused by environmental and mental
stress, smoking and free radical exposure. There’s always the question: “Why
does the skin of some young women look aged, while that of some older women
look youthful?” The answer lies in the condition of the stratum corneum.”
“We’ve also discovered that there’s a substance
between the layers of the stratum corneum, known as ‘skin capacitors’. This is
the mechanism that allows skin to retain moisture. Skin with larger ‘skin
capacitors’ are therefore able to absorb and retain more nutrients, improving
the barrier function and in turn, maintaining its healthy, beautiful
condition,” said Dr. Naito.
The technology behind Liposome Treatment Liquid is no
less impressive, featuring a first in the beauty industry – the multi-layered
liposome lotion is developed by applying two types of phospholipids suited to a
lotion form. The newly-developed Potential Maximizer (PMZ) expands the ‘skin
capacitors’ to enhance their cell repair function and cellular response. It
does so with the help of two key ingredients: Eriobotrya Japonica Leaf extract
and RuscusAculeatus Root extract. The former possesses strong anti-oxidation
and anti-inflammatory properties, and also boosts cell activity. The latter
stimulates the production of filaggrin, a natural moisturising factor. It also
increases the production of aquaporin, thus promoting the formation of a
healthy keratin layer.
Paraben-free and oil-free, Liposome Treatment Lotion
is formulated with a herbal-floral scent that soothes and heals the senses. It
also comes enriched with Theanine (to moisturise), Poria Cocos extract (to
activate cells) and TremellaFuciformis extract (to hydrate). The usage
