Columbia Asia Hospital Puchong Pink Fun Run “Run For Hope, Run For Her” 2015 In Aid Of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Private healthcare company, Columbia Asia Hospital - Puchong, organized a charity fun run with a cause, Pink Run 2015, with the theme “Run 4 Hope, Run 4 Her”. The run is a global initiative, in line with Breast Cancer Awareness Month (every October). I was glad I came to give my full support for this meaningful Pink Fun Run in aid of BCWA, not forgetting to meet lovely Lorraine who did a great job for this event to run smoothly that Sunday morning.

It's not easy I know, what to say for tough times like this with the economy slowing down recently but kind and good Malaysians still exist in Malaysia, be it the Chinese, Malay or Indians who did our very best to contribute back to society and for the unfortunate ones. Every little help makes a lot of difference actually. For more updates about Columbia Asia Hospital - Puchong, check them out at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Columbia-Asia-Hospital-Bandar-Puteri-Puchong/170072523036874?fref=ts

Held at The Cube, IOI Galleria, Bandar Puteri Puchong last Sunday, this first year’s power-packed and energetic event saw the attendance of close to 1,000 participants. It also raised RM20,000.00 which will be used to aid Breast Cancer Welfare Association.

Columbia Asia’s CEO Mr. Kelvin Tan said, “This is indeed a great achievement not only for us at Columbia Asia, but for the many Malaysians who are here today to support breast cancer awareness. The Pink Charity Fun Run is the hospital’s first charity run project aimed to raise funds for underprivileged patients’. It is also to support BCWA in various educational and community endeavours.

The Pink Charity Fun Run was officiated by Deputy Minister of Health, YB Dato’ Seri Dr. Hilmi Yahaya. The run has two(2) categories, the Men’s Open & Women’s Open 5km & 7KM respectively.

Breast cancer is a major global health problem and the leading cause of death among women of all ethnic backgrounds. Each year, an estimated 1.6 million new cases are diagnosed worldwide. In Malaysia, breast cancer is the most common cancer where 1 in 19 Malaysian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85.  Around 4000 women are diagnosed each year and it occurs mostly in women aged between 35 and 60 with 40% affected aged below 50.

The Pink Fun Run took on a fun-run theme which included an aerobic warm up session led by Gorgeous Fitness instructors. Participants were also treated to a mini bazaar and a lucky draw session after the run.

Pink Charity Fun Run 2015 is supported by event partner, IOI Properties Group Berhad and sponsored by Gorgeous Fitness, Phiten, Thermoskin, Deep Heat, MediFeet, Medical Apparatus, Best Contact, SunPharma, Latte 25 & Cocoa 25, Urban Health, Roche, One Pharmacy, Curves Fitness, Dutch Lady, BizzyBody, Ebene, Enercal Plus and Jardine Llyod Thompson.

BIODIVERSITY
Davines has decided to collaborate with the non-profit Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity by joining the Presidia Project; this non-profit foundation protects selected places in order to safeguard the Earth's biodiversity, by building bridges between ecology, gastronomy, ethics and the pleasures of the table. There are more than 400 Slow Food Presidia worldwide, which technically and financially support more than 10,000 small producers so that they can continue to grow plants that are typical of specific places, thus preventing the disappearance of a genetic heritage with an inestimable biological value. The goal is to relaunch the economy of these areas and prevent the extinction of local artisan traditions.
Each family in the Essential Haircare line contains one specific active ingredient from a Slow Food Presidium that features the story, the face, and the name of the person who grew it with care and passion.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
The packaging for Essential Haircare is created with the minimum amount of plastic necessary to adequately protect the formulas inside. The packs are produced using food grade plastics and can be reused as knick-knack containers or plant pots.

As part of LifeGate's Zero Impact® project, the carbon dioxide emissions generated by the production of each Essential Haircare container are offset by contributing to the creation and protection of forests in Madagascar. Essential Haircare is produced with energy obtained entirely from renewable sources.

FORMULAS
Davines has enhanced the quality of each formula by enriching them with high percentages of rapidly biodegradable ingredients of natural origin, to minimize environmental impact and combine sustainability with results of the highest level.

Essential Haircare shampoos are formulated using gentle surfactants that respect the hair and are sulphate free; their foam is incredibly creamy and dense and dissolves easily in water. All of the products are parabens free.

Each Essential Haircare family has a specific property: nourishment, moisturization, volumizing, shine enhancement, protection, elasticizing, control, daily care. All keep the promise implicit in their name with the common objective of protecting the hair from external attack while guaranteeing an immediate cosmetic effect.

Must-Have High Heels For Every Career Lady

Everyone knows that high heels are must-have fashion footwear every woman should own as they come in handy when you need to attend a job interview or even need a sudden boost of confidence. Just like me, everywhere I go be it to China, Europe or Turkey, my tour members usually gave me a big applause for completing our hiking high up to the mountain just to watch the beautiful waterfall with my high heels. In Turkey, my tour members like Syuen and Mr.Ang also said they salute me for my courage being able to go through the Turkey mysterious tunnel down under a cave with my super duper high heel shoes.

They just couldn't walk in high heel shoes at all they told me, what to say to hike up the high mountain with such rocky path, going through the many steps of stairs and long routes ahead of us. I'm used to it already I explained to them. Jeline even asked me in physic science point of view, how do I walk with high heels, focusing on which angle or position of it and I revealed my big secrets to her openly. Haha...To me, high heels shoes is my must-have fashion essential placed nicely inside my shoes cabinet like a treasure chest.

Discover what your true high heel style is and stick to them. For the career ladies who have a nine to five job or a busy businesswomen, high heels is the best footwear to wear at work to feel confident and powerful the entire day. Ladies who have no idea the types of high heel designs that they need to own in their collection at home should take a look at these three high heels designs for women. In fact, I had just bought a pair of Pink Strappy Shoes from Zalora and I got totally stoked by it.

           1.   Stilettos
Stilettos are an important pair of footwear for women to add as they are the perfect shoes to wear together with evening dresses or formal events. If you feel as if you want that huge boost of confidence level, the stilettos will definitely make you sophisticated and sexy at the same time. Match it with a nice bodycon dress at work and a luxurious handbag for the complete lady boss look. To me, stilettos are very sexy, elegant and enduring as well.

2. Kitten Heels
However, not many women are a fan of stiletto sky high heels and prefer to wear something more subtle. Kitten heels will always do the trick as it gives you balance with a little bit of height. Kitten heels are perfect for women who are looking forward to go to a job interview as it is a modest professional look. I always pair my shoes based on the business suits I wear on that day during my corporate days. They usually interviewed me on the brand of my shoes, price factor and where to purchase it like I'm their fashion agent.

3.  The Strappy
Meanwhile, strappy high heel designs is also a must-have as it gives a more casual touch yet sexiness when you wear at work. The strappy high heels are great for women to wear it with their formal pant suits, casual jeans on a Friday and even dresses without ever making you look less appropriate. Choose any colours you prefer and match your outfits with ease. Strappy is my favourite high heels of all because I can pair it with pants or dress that naturally draws a huge difference in fashion statement.

CANMAKE Presents Tokyo’s Latest Makeup Trends

Japan’s leading brand of cosmetics, CANMAKE Tokyo, has brought the latest makeup trends from the country that gave birth to the kawaii culture to Malaysia with the arrival of its latest range of face, eye, cheek and lip colours. I was glad I came at the very last minute as I've promised to attend this CANMAKE from Japan.

They were previewed during a special showcase in Kuala Lumpur that was held in conjunction with a celebration of the brand’s 30th anniversary. I totally fall in love with the latest collection and the next day on Sunday, I went back to grab another 3 skincare and makeup from CANMAKE Tokyo. Everything comes in pink lovely packaging and alluring colours that stayed on my skin easily, naturally.

‘Glossy & Shiny’ is the theme for the coming party season that promises to make you the belle of the ball. Natural, light and translucent looking skin creates a dewy glow that takes centre stage in this look, further complemented with glossy lips that accentuate its natural colour. Recreate this look with Juice Pure Eyes eyeshadow trios (RM39.90), Your Lip Only Gloss (RM39.90) and Matte & Crystal Cheeks (RM49.90).

Another trend that is popular in Japan is ‘Colour Coordinate’ where lips and cheeks are coordinated with the same colour using the new CANMAKE Lip & Cheek Gel (RM49.90). A meltingly smooth texture that can be used on both lips and cheeks, the 2-in-1 product gives a burst of colour that can be applied in layers to deepen the intensity. For a cute kawaii touch, the gel blusher is blended high on the cheek, just below the eyes to create an oriental doll look.

Complete the look with Secret Colour Eye (RM45.90) eyeshadow palette that features a red shadow to create a delicate tint on your lower lid to enhance the skin’s translucence, while deepening eye contours using the palette’s shader and highlighter.

“These two latest makeup trends that are gaining popularity in Japan are particularly recommended for Malaysian women as they will be able to carry it off beautifully. There are certain similarities between the two cultures when it comes to makeup styles such as a general preference for lighter makeup to give that natural look,” said Kaori Anzai who handles the overseas markets for CANMAKE Tokyo.

Launched in Tokyo in 1985, CANMAKE is now available in 13 countries including Malaysia. Its popularity and success stems from its commitment to bringing the latest makeup styles and trends at affordable prices with no compromise to the product quality that is created and manufactured in Japan.

“There’s a huge following in Malaysia for Japanese styles and trends. From manga and cosplay to entertainment and fashion, there is no doubt that we are influenced by Japan and that was one of the main reasons that Teeni Enterprise introduced this trendy brand that is reasonably priced for the Malaysia market,“ said Joyce Au, Sales and Marketing Manager of Teeni Enterprise Malaysia, the exclusive distributor for CANMAKE Tokyo.

During the event, CANMAKE Tokyo also presented prizes to the winners of its 30th Anniversary “Fly to Japan” contest organised recently. So lucky, totally happy for her.

Ho Yee Xin, who's 30 from Johor won the Grand Prize of a 5D4N trip for two to Japan while 2nd Prize Winner Gong Li Wan, 26, from Sabah and 3rd Prize Winner, Tan Hui Shee, 19, from Selangor walked away with a SONY Xperia M4 phone and Casio EX-MR1 digital camera respectively along with CANMAKE products.

The CANMAKE Tokyo line of cosmetics is available at selected SASA and AEON Wellness outlets nationwide. Check them out, you'll love it for sure. Everyday I'm protected from free radicals with their primer and transparent finishing powder that managed to keep my skin smooth and hydrated throughout the day.
