Marine Elements™ New Norwegian Marine Based Technology - For Dry and Problem Skin

~Marine Elements™ offers faster rejuvenation and long-lasting moisturizing~

As an exciting addition to the Malaysian skincare market, Marine Elements™ features a dermatologically-tested line of products with active ingredients derived from clean marine sources from Europe. Made especially for dry and eczema-prone skin, Marine Elements™ is more than just regular topical skin care, as the “Dry Skin Management System” features a Body Wash, Body Lotion and Intensive Cream.

Featuring the patented ‘Zonase X™’, this active ingredient contains natural proteins and enzymes derived from the hatching fluid of salmon eggs sourced from the pure waters of Norway, and has been extensively researched and developed in cooperation with Norwegian Universities. The fish hatchlings remain unharmed in the eco-friendly process of extracting the enzyme.

Zonase X™ was first discovered at a fish hatchery in Norway, where it was reported that hatchery staff members began to observe surprisingly smooth hands, despite immersing their hands in intensely cold water for long periods of time. The smooth skin was in fact due to the enzyme in the water secreted by fish larvae inside the egg just prior to hatching. Further research revealed that the egg shells had a protein similar to that of human skin protein, therefore granting the hatchery staff the soft and smooth skin.

The defining benefit of Zonase X™ is its effective micro-exfoliation. Zonase X™ ingredient targets only the scaffolding between dead skin cells, allowing a very gentle exfoliation of the skin surface without causing inflammation. This new and natural ingredient is scientifically proven to accelerate new skin cell growth. Finally, its skin moisturizing properties delivers results that include a healthier, strengthened and rejuvenated skin surface.

By combining marine technology and skincare science, the non-steroidal, hypoallergenic and paraben-free product range by Marine Elements™ is formulated to help improve skin conditions by regenerating fresh skin cells and providing a protective skin barrier.  Marine Elements™ is the perfect solution to help relieve skin against moisture loss due to conditions such as harsh weather or dry temperatures, as well as to calm inflamed skin whilst leaving a protective barrier on its surface. Best of all, the skincare range is suitable for all skin types and can even be applied on babies and toddlers.

Andrew Wong; Managing Director of Ecobrands Ltd, Hong Kong
Aileen Chan; CEO of LiveLife Sdn Bhd Josie Foster; UK-based
Speaker and Chartered Chemist launching the new products.

Present at the Kuala Lumpur of launch of Marine Elements™, was UK-based Formulator and Chartered Chemist Josie Foster, who shared some insights regarding the benefits and advantages of the advanced skincare range: “The formula of Marine Elements helps to significantly improve the appearance of dry and problem skin prone to itchy, irritating and inflamed conditions, and offers effective and long-lasting moisturisation,” explained Ms Foster.

For those who would like to benefit from the breakthrough formula, Josie recommends using the Body Wash for cleansing, applying the Body Lotion just after drying for maintenance, and using the Intensive Cream on problem areas. Also present at the launch was Aileen Chan, CEO of LiveLife Sdn Bhd as distributor of Marine Elements™ in Malaysia; and Andrew Wong, Managing Director of Ecobrands (Hong Kong) Ltd, as brand principal of Marine Elements™.

Marine Elements™ is priced at RM65.00 for Body Wash (500ml), RM67.50 for Body Lotion (200ml) and RM78.50 for Intensive Cream (50ml). The formula is suitable for all skin types, and is available at selected pharmacies as well as via www.plincco.com For more information about Marine Elements skincare range, browse over to www.marineelements.com

Go Naturally With The Flow

I really appreciates Buddhism Facebook when they shared the 'MH370 Prayer Picture' for my country Malaysia, so I quickly thanked their sincere sharing with much TQ comment. In fact, my latest FB status 'Mataku bengkak macam Katak due to the crying for MH370 tragedy. A mystery incident that needs time to reveal the truth, 'Sei Mou Dui Jing!' has clearly stated how devastated I was feeling about this tragedy. To a proactive and positive kinda person I have always be, I think that this tragedy remained unsolved to me.To the Chinese who understand good Cantonese, they would know what 'Sei Mou Dui Jing' means because the meaning is so deep and hidden within.

Rambo always asked me how I'm gonna translate those meaningful Chinese proverbs to the readers, it's really not an easy job but it can be done slowly, diligently. I still hope for a miracle to happen like passengers maybe missing but not perished in this mysterious mishap so that we know what really happen to them and solved the MH370 case. I know life goes on everyday, every minute of the day, but miracles do happen everyday in our lives, so I hope the God can brighten us up with good news real soon. We can only pray and having good thoughts for them, help to enlighten the sad, unfortunate accident that happened recently.

Last Thursday during the Hiroshima Fair at Aeon Jusco, Amy brief me a bit about the fair and Hiroshima prefecture, I told her I was supposed to be at Hokkaido last week. Due to the majority demand, my tour agency has changed the MAS Airline to China Airlines for all of us and postponed the trip to next month May. I'm not afraid to fly with MAS but it's the majority of travellers who are afraid to fly with MAS so I only go with the flow. That's why I told my family and friends, Hokkaido is not in place for me that week, so Hiroshima Fair in Malaysia 'pun jadilah' to fit in the schedule.

Haha...the most important thing in my life is live happily and healthily only, and I did as I bought the yummy Yuzu Enzyme that cost me RM33.90. So long it's healthy and yummy for daily healthy intake, I like buying and indulging in them. In fact, last week I was full with Japanese food from Loccitane Bento Set, Rambo's Japanese cookies from company and making my own Bento Set from this Hiroshiam Fair. Like I always said, Malaysia 'semuanya ada' (have everything), so we only need to adapt with the environment only.

Last Saturday, I saw my dear Charmer LeAnne face was so smooth and radiant with bright glow on her face and so I asked her, "Did you wash your face or do any mask?" She told me no and I asked her again, "Did you chant 'Amituofo' all the time when you're free?" She replied me, "Yes, you told me to chant every night so I chant 'Amituofo, Amituofo, Amituofo' until I fall asleep." "Really, no wonder you look so pretty and healthy!" I felt so fulfilled and impressed by her action, immediately I told Ying Shan and Lynette to do the same thing and they replied me they also did the same ritual everyday.

LeAnnne told me that Lynette did, she also read the Buddhist Book given by me to them before she sleeps. After she fell asleep, she took it from her and read it. "Really, that's great!" I was feeling over the moon, so happy I have nothing much to say anymore but feel deeply grateful that my dear Charmers really practising Buddhism values in their lives sincerely. It's the result that speaks by itself as I can see it with my very own eyes the obvious radiance on their faces and the sharing of happiness that they wrote on the 'BFF Diary'. That's what really matters to me!

4 Simple Ways to Get a Toned, Firm Silhouette
Exfoliate your skin twice a week
Exfoliation is essential to promote the body’s cellular waste elimination. Micro-particles in body scrubs promote microcirculation so that the body is able to flush out toxins easily. Clearing the skin’s surface of dead skin cell buildup also makes the epidermis more receptive to bodycare products applied after exfoliation.

Practice dry brushing to banish cellulite
Every day before you shower, use a natural-bristled brush to brush your skin while it’s still dry. Dry brushing is a well-known method to reduce the appearance of cellulite. It also promotes tighter skin, improves cell renewal and stimulates blood circulation. Start at your feet and move up both legs, brushing in long strokes in one direction: towards your heart. Do the same for your arms, moving from the hands to your shoulders and towards the chest. Remember not to brush too hard!

Pick up a core muscle exercise routine like Pilates or Kickboxing!
If you’re looking for a new exercise routine, try Pilates! It’s not a new trend, but it provides a whole-body workout every time. Pilates focuses on core strength to train the entire body at once, while promoting muscle development and joint flexibility. Core exercises get rid of flabby parts around the stomach and dormant areas like upper arms and thighs. Plus, Pilates is not strenuous, and can be done by anyone and everyone. All you need to have is determination to reach your goal!

Don’t just apply Almond bodycare, eat Almonds too!
Eating nuts helps keep your skin glowing and hydrated. Almonds are a ‘superfood’. That means they’re packed with lots of nutrients that are beneficial to the body. Incorporate Almonds into your daily eating habits to get the best out of its high nutritional value. Eat whole roasted Almonds as a snack, or add toasted slivers of Almonds to your salads, cereal or yogurt. Vitamin E in Almonds nourishes skin and protects it from UV rays too.

FOR BODY FIRMING CARE; MILK CONCENTRATE & SUPPLE SKIN OIL
Almonds are often associated with positive feelings and emotions. In olden days, the Romans would throw Almonds over newly-weds to wish them joy and good health. Almond trees and branches are also prominently talked about in many religions, and are known to symbolise something that is solid, dependable and strong.

For many years, L’OCCITANE has featured Almonds as the key ingredient in its best selling Almond bodycare collection, designed to help you reveal your feminine curves. Being ever respectful of Mother Nature and the harvest she provides, L’OCCITANE throws nothing away of the Almond fruit, which brims with a myriad of skin-loving ingredients.

Almond trees were once the glory of Provence. But as time passed, they were overlooked in favour of more profitable crops since the 1950s. L’OCCITANE has addressed this issue by purchasing Almonds from the South of France and recycling broken Almonds rejected from the confectionery industry, which are just as precious.

From cold-pressing the kernel to extract skin-softening milk and nourishing oil that are full of Vitamin A and Vitamin E, to transforming the crushed shells into gentle exfoliators, to processing the Almond tree buds for its incredible draining and toning properties, the possibilities with Almonds are endless.

Each year in early spring, the Almond tree blooms with delicate white flowers, but the long wait for these blossoms to transform into fruit extends until October. The Almond nut stays protected within its beautiful, smooth green velvet shell, protected from elements of the weather. Once winter is over, these Almonds can be harvested. Fine and delicious, the fragrant Almond nut is also known for its ability to soften and smooth the skin, thus creating a firm and toned silhouette.

The stoic Almond tree is also known as ‘the watchman tree’ in Provence, as it is the first tree which blossoms at the end of winter. Its early flowering makes it a symbol of good omens as it bears the meaning of hope that spring is around the corner. In order to preserve the sustainability of Almonds, L’OCCITANE also actively purchases Almonds from growers in the South of France, so that long-forgotten Almond tree can once again become a familiar element in Provence.

During every harvest, only 10% to 15% of Almond buds are gathered to guarantee the yield from one year to the next. The Jaubert family is one of the Almond producers in Haute Provence. Since 2002, the family has replanted almost 13,000 Almond trees on their family-run farm, located on the Plateau of Valensole. Managed by Jean-Pierre and his daughter, Pauline, the 75-hectare farm allows them to continue the tradition of growing Almond trees and producing its valuable nuts.

“By replanting Almond trees, I can contribute to the wellbeing of the planet, as well as the beauty of Provence. The trees teach us about wisdom and respect, and their Almond yield reflects the care that I give them.” By Jean-Pierre Jaubert

Marching March...

How do you commensurate the value of a facial spa worth RM600, just like I always asked how much should the company pay me when I joined their team? My new friend who had just won the Monz Spa Facial RM600 and Celmonze Skincare worth about RM1000 together with me, she's feeling totally on top of the world that afternoon at the VIP Hi-Tea MIJF. She told me she never win anything so big like this and she felt so happy about it. Obviously, I'm happy for her as I can feel her overjoyed happiness and she asked to take pictures with me here. Haha...and so I asked Rambo to take for us, we took many pictures here and wazzapp each other pictures for personal keeping.

I remember my last most expensive facial pampering was at Bella Skincare Centre, RM500 for Caviar Facial which I had signed two times of facial packages with them in my 20's to 30's. I love their treatments and services, I met many wealthy Datin and rich, wealthy women doing their facial treatments here. We actually enjoyed the professional ambience here where they never pushed us into purchasing products most of the time and the treatment is one of the best treatment I have enjoyed so far, even till today in my beauty history.

I know it's expensive but I think it's worth every penny that I have paid for over the years when I was there, as when they invited me for the 1st time spa, they provide me full complimentary treatment without asking me to pay anything in extra. No money involved, no money talk and no pushing that I decided to sign up the same spa treatment package offered to me that day as they're honest in their offer and I like to commit myself for professional service treatment with one beauty salon in the long run.  Back to the Monz Spa story, after my yummy lunch nearby at DU last Sunday, I stopped by here and my facial therapist told me that this luxury treatment cost RM600.

They have 16 other types of Celmonze signature treatments provided at the spa. I did a few of them in the last few years, but I really don't remember much details about them anymore. I do enjoy my facial spa here before, but this RM600 Caviar Spa Treatment was kinda special because all the steps from Peeling to the mask treatment, they use everything was all about Caviar of Caviar Cream Mask for massage and final Caviar Double Mask, they really use a whole box set of Caviar Concentrate, Caviar Serum and Caviar Mask intensive treatment for me, just like the Bella Skincare Centre.

Rambo asked me how do I feel after the 2 hours spa facial as he can see that my face really glowing with natural radiance on my face without any face powder to cover my flaws. I told him, "So nice with luxury Caviar products and so relaxing that I wana fall asleep liao!" We went for my usual shopping trip at One Utama to beat my weekly shopaholic mood before our usual weekend indulgence at Coffee Bean for my favourite Mocha. Then, we continue with the spa pampering topic during our non-stop chatty moments.

He told me it's good that I enjoyed my spa so he's gonna work harder each day in order for me to enjoy great spa every week. Haha..."Tq Pi, I really appreciates you said that as I really enjoy spa pampering and I wish to enjoy this kinda luxury treatment whenever I can." I'm grateful to the person who called me for this lucky draw win, because of her I got to enjoy this beautiful spa. Actually I met a few friends here during the MIJF Fair and they even told me that they saw my pictures from Bulletin. They even asked me about the event when they met me recently, I told them all about it.

Haha...Yea, I told them I was there but it was never a plan to be there, it was such a co-incidence I was supposed to attend Joey Yap Conference that afternoon but then my sms reminded me about the MIJF event. So I went to register, collect the gift on my way and they invited me for the VIP Hi-Tea to enjoy the fashion show which I went and won. I was so surprised by the 1st calling my lucky number, feeling so happy about it and friends around me were then were rooting for the nice hamper. We enjoyed the hotel food, beverages and having a great time chatting the hours away with so much laughters. That's what really matters to us, togetherness without a bit of jealousy feeling between us.

Rambo even said, "You women really know how to enjoy life" as we even tried on the thousand dollars jewellery on our hands, talking about jewellery and took many pictures with it. That's life, embrace every happy moments with people along the way, make new friends but never forget the old, good ones and always be nice as the good vibes will be attracted to you naturally for sure. Before you can afford to love and empower the others, you yourself need to learn how to love yourself, to be able to express yourself before you can bless the others, so trust yourself you can do it honestly as happiness truly radiates from within!

Coca-Cola World’s Cup Anthem “The World Is Ours”

With the world’s biggest football tournament just a few months away, the rhythm of Brazil is beating louder and three Malaysian artists have been called up to represent Malaysia. Award winning singer Ajai, former Miss Malaysia-turned-singer Soo Wincci and the chart topping Mista G will join X-Factor finalist David Correy for the Malaysian version of “The World Is Ours”, the Coca-Cola global anthem for its 2014 World’s Cup campaign.

“The World is Ours” – which fuses Correy’s soaring pop vocals with samba, baile funk and technobraga rhythms – will expose football and music fans around the world to the signature sounds of the host nation, Brazil. “Most people outside Brazil, especially young people, haven’t really experienced Brazilian music before because it hasn’t been mainstream in decades and with the infusion of Malaysian vocals, it will become a really multicultural musical message for the World’s Cup,” said Yvette Lim, Group Manager for Regional Integrated Marketing Communications and Activations for Coca-Cola Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei.

“Now The World Is Ours will be infused with the Malaysian football spirit which is famously summed up as to Eat Football, Sleep Football and drink Coca-Cola,” added Lim. “The World is Ours” features a unique take on samba with a touch of Brazilian funk and hip-hop and the vocals of Correy, an emerging talent with Brazilian roots and an inspiring life story that began in the poverty stricken favelas of Brazil that took on an inspiring twist when he persevered and was selected as the voice for World’s Cup campaign by Coca-Cola.

In 2012 he became a finalist on the US version of the X-Factor reality show, winning the hearts of judges and viewers alike with his vocals, inspiring story and optimism. During his televised audition, he explained that he hoped to reunite with his birth mother and that eventually led to his reunification with her with the help of a Brazilian newspaper that managed to locate her. “It’s an amazing honour to work with Coca-Cola and I feel completely connected to what it stands for. I’ve achieved two dreams in my life so far; reuniting with my mother, and getting a record deal with Coca-Cola,” says Correy.

When he first heard the “The World Is Ours” Correy says he couldn’t stop smiling. “The first two lines – ‘Run like you’re born to fly/Live like you’ll never die’ – speak 100 percent to who I am and all the things I’ve overcome. All of my struggles pour out of me when I sing this song. And I feel like everyone will feel what I’ve been through, the pain and also the joy of being and loving who you are.”

“My upbringing has brought me so much diversity and I feel like this song embodies that because it speaks to so many cultures,” adds the 27-year-old singer. “Getting the chance to intertwine other fans’ and artistes’ influences with what I’m doing is really what this is all about.” Lim said, “The music that we bring into our sports properties like FIFA and the Olympics feature genuinely talented artistes like David who embody the optimism and positivity of Coke. We know that David’s story will resonate with many Malaysians and youth around the world who have their own dreams and aspirations.”

Complementing Correy to add some Malaysian flavour to “The World Is Ours” are three of Malaysia’s top artistes:

Ajai
He recently produced AIM 2013’s Best Album for Hafiz and collaborated with Indonesian singer Kris Dayanti for song ‘Hati Ini Telah di Lukai’ while his latest single ‘Aduh’ has reached more than a million views on Youtube. He has also made his silver screen debut in the movie ‘Tokan’ and as a TV host on ‘Jemput Masuk Cef’.

Soo Wincci
The singer, chef, model, TV host, radio DJ, ambassador and former Miss Malaysia’s Chinese album ‘Happiness’ received a very good response in Taiwan while the single ‘I’ll Be Alright’ also received very good response in Taiwan and Malaysia. In 2012 she released her Malay debut album and collaborated with Joe Flizzow in ‘Terus Teranglah’.

Mista G
Singer and songwriter, Kunalan Gunaseelan, better known as Mista G, is definitely an artiste to look out for both in the local as well as international Tamil music arena.  He gained prominence in 2004 with the chart topper ‘Madal Thiranthu’, which made him a household name amongst the international Tamil community. His recent album, ‘Arpanam – The Final Cut’ sold more than 20,000 copies nationwide. This album saw Mista G team up with veteran singer Dato David Arumugam of Alley Cats fame in the single “Kathaley” as well as with rapper Rabbit Mac for the single “Symphony Nilave”.  His accomplishments have led to several nominations in the recent AIM-Malaysian Indian 2013 Awards.

Malaysians already got an early taste of the FIFA World Cup™ fever earlier in January during the “FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola” when over 10,000 people got to see the most iconic symbol of football, the actual FIFA World Cup™ but the opportunity to eat football, sleep football and drink Coca-Cola will continue as more great promotions for fans to get football related merchandise will be appearing soon.

“Coca-Cola has always shared the passion that fans have for football around the world and through our partnership with FIFA we champion the power of the beautiful game to bring people together as well as encourage them to get active. As we invite fans to celebrate the “The World’s Cup”, we also hope that they will be inspired to excel in whatever they do as well as encourage them to adopt a an active, healthy lifestyle,” added Lim.

“Football is a sport for everyone and Coca-Cola wants to fuel the passion further because one of our goals is to help raise the standards for physical activity around the world by getting people to maintain their energy balance, or the balance between "calories in" and "calories out", for overall fitness and health. In Malaysia, that includes encouraging university students to cycle and working with the Olympic Council of Malaysia to get Malaysians moving.”
