ECCO is all about SOLE and SOUL, takes part in Sunshine September in aid of the National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM)

Malaysia, 3 September 2014 from the 3rd to 16th September 2014, ECCO (KLCC) will be contributing towards Suria KLCC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Sunshine September.

The Sunshine September campaign, which is in its fifth year, aims to raise funds to aid the National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM) that provides services and life-long care to individuals with autism utilizing assessment and diagnosis, early intervention, vocational training (self care skills, social skills, recreation activities and work experience), while creating public awareness on autism. Since the inception of the Sunshine September campaign in 2010, NASOM has seen increased awareness with regards to autism and have observed more people taking steps for early intervention.

“ECCO is a Scandinavian based, family-owned company that is deeply committed to social and environmental responsibilities. True to the brand’s DNA, it is with great pride for us to be part of such an impactful CSR initiative”, shared Walter Chan, Brand Manager of Vietmaland Sdn. Bhd (ECCO).

During this two week long campaign, ECCO will be donating 5% of total sales collected towards this CSR initiative. Therefore, indulging in Ecco’s latest Autumn 2014 collection during this period will also contribute to a good cause.  This season’s collection features the elegant ECCO Camilla bootie, menswear-inspired yet feminine ECCO Touch 15B and runway-worthy, versatile ECCO Touch 75B series for ladies and premium ECCO CS14 Men’s sneakers and ECCO FINDLAY modern-feel casual dress shoe series for men. ECCO pushes boundaries this season with two unusual new show shades; Midnight Blue and Green Gables.

“We hope to receive good response from the public towards the Sunshine September campaign. With a platform like this, there is no better time to be informed about autism and what they can do on their part to contribute. Suria KLCC has also done a fantastic job of lining up activities, games and performances by NASOM Maestros to create better understanding about autism. So we look forward to encouraging support,” said Chan.
