L’Oreal Paris Honour Malaysian Women Of Worth

A Woman of Worth is one who takes care of herself, recognises the values she creates in her own and other people’s lives, honours whatever she does and all that she is. "L’Oreal Paris honour Malaysian Women of Worth today because 'You’re Worth It'. Love yourself, value and dignified yourself with dignity and integrity, only then the men would know how to love, appreciate and admire us even more each day", I shared this on FB after attending the meaningful event that afternoon.

Make a promise to yourself this year to be a Woman of Worth. Feel empowered. Do something new. Try everything you’ve always wanted to. Also don’t forget to appreciate your very own Woman of Worth. Tell her that you love her for who she is and recognise her abilities. As the president of L’Oréal Paris Karen T. Fondu aptly sums it up, “When a woman feels empowered, she will never feel like a victim to anyone or anything.”

What’s more, L’Oréal Paris also invites all Malaysian women to honour the Women of Worth in their lives. Just snap a photo of yourself and your Woman of Worth and share your stories on L’Oréal Paris Malaysia’s Facebook at www.facebook.com/lorealparismalaysiaInstagram at www.instagram.com/lorealparismy or hashtag #WOWLOrealParis.

Speaking of relationships, nothing can trump the love affair a woman has with her lipstick. A lipstick is an extension of a woman; it’s a signature, a kiss, an embrace. In terms of celebrating one’s uniqueness, the best way is to have a lipstick that suits your personality.

It’s so easy to be empowered, just pick one Color Riche lipstick or more and make it your signature shade today. With so many shades to choose from, even your very own Woman of Worth deserves a Color Riche lipstick to show how much you value her.

To commemorate its 30th anniversary, L’Oréal Paris Color Riche is showcasing all 22 shades. Color Riche is the world’s most iconic lipstick, because there is a colour for all women. Fromshades of various pink, mauve, fuchsia, red, coral, and beige tones, each Color Riche shade hugs the lips with vivid colour and nourishes with a blend of plant-based oils.

Darren Ho, General Manager of L’OréalConsumer Products Division said, “Nana, Nurita and Tracy embody the essence of L’Oréal Paris perfectly, they’re a combination of beauty, brains and individuality, and as Malaysian Women of Worth, it’s also an acknowledgement to all Malaysians that a woman’s worth is so much more than what one perceives or sees. With Nana, Nurita and Tracy representing them, we hope to empower Malaysian women to embrace their individual beauty,to go further in life and to achieve their true potential.”

“My favourite product is lipstick, I never leave home without at least two different shades in my bag! I think that lip colours have the ability to transform your look in seconds, so I can change my image to match my mood with any colour I feel like wearing. My current favourite lip colour is a Taylor Swift-esque bright red, with or without eye makeup on, it makes a huge impact!” she shared.

Today, L’Oréal ParisMalaysia celebrates the beauty of women from all walks of life by honouring Malaysian Women of Worth, represented by celebrities Nana Mahazan, NuritaHarith and Tracy Cheong.

On being honoured as a Malaysian Woman of Worth, Nana Mahazan expressed, “I’m extremely grateful for this wonderful opportunity. I try to be the best that I can be, not only for my loved ones and family members, but also for my fans, who see me as a role model. Don’t hide your qualities just because someone thinks you’re different. I always believe that what makes you different makes you even more beautiful.”

At the event in honour of Malaysian women, fashion designer Nurita Harith said, “Being a woman is not easy and we face different challenges in our daily lives, and we have to constantly find ways to tackle them. My journey of becoming a fashion designer is definitely not an easy one but I keep my head high, armed with passion and ambition in everything I do - I am proud to be where I am now. There were many ups and downs, but it all paid off when I had my first show in the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2006. I would like to thank the people who support me all this while, without them I will not be who I am today. To celebrate today's occasion, I would like to add: I am truly a woman of worth!”

For model and L’Oréal Paris spokesperson Tracy Cheong, poise and elegance is a natural extension of her personality. Becoming one of the Top 5 finalists in the Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant 2010 finalist has opened doors for her in the modelling industry, and she has appeared in numerous publications since. In 2012, her acting debut in Kepong Gangster also received positive reviews from critics.  Today, Tracy is a successful model and a budding actress.

Even if we may not realise it, all of us have our own Woman of Worth that plays a huge role in our lives. It may be our sister, mother, cousin or even childhood friend. A true Woman of Worth has a great support system in a best friend who stands by her side no matter what, and this relationship is cherished for a lifetime. While Nana, Nurita and Tracy were honoured as Malaysian Women of Worth, they also took the opportunity to introduce their own Women of Worth at the event. Nana brought along her best friend, Ira who is currently a host and mother, while Nurita had her aunt, Wan Rozeini with her, and Tracy was accompanied by Karena Teo, a fellow model and actress.

All three women spoke of their relationships with the women of worth in their lives. On Karena, Tracy said, “We’re very close, and I really admire her ability to juggle so many things in life without even breaking a sweat. It’s amazing how she manages to look so beautiful even after a long day.” Nurita said her aunt is like a mother to her. “Like my mum, she is loving, patient and always puts her closed ones first; and I respect her for what she does for her family including me!” Nana couldn’t stop smiling with Ira by her side. “We are more than great pals! Ira is a sister that I wished I had when I was growing up. Now that we are both mothers, there is nothing in the world that we don’t share and talk about.
