L’Oréal Paris Makeup Designer 2016

Known for its specialty in delivering wearable everyday glamour with innovative cosmetic products, French beauty brand L’Oréal Paris revealed a brand new identity for its makeup products known as L’Oréal Paris Makeup Designer. This is the mini model of Paris signature Eiffel Tower where I had just been lifted up to the 2nd Level of Paris Eiffel Tower to enjoy the obvious fascinating views of Paris city during my Spring Holiday recently.

Such a coincidence I just came back from Paris, my mind is still lingering with great memories of the Parisian lifestyle that I brought back home to Malaysia and attending this L’Oréal Paris Makeup Designer event posing with this cute True Match Genius Foundation at Le Meridien Hotel, KL kinda refreshing my memories back all at once. Created to help women design their makeup looks, it features innovative formulas to never-before-seen textures, reflecting all the exquisite details and spirit of Parisian elegance. This is true and I agreed indeed!

Totally falling in love with their latest makeup technique, no wonder why I always love using L’Oréal Paris Makeup for years already. Getting myself a fantastic makeover recently by their makeup artist at this event somewhere somehow had inspired and motivated me to brush up my makeup skills to perfection from now on. With the debut of L’Oréal Paris Makeup Designer, beauty enthusiasts in Malaysia can now express their personalities through the love of colours and discover the art of makeup from Paris from these three aspects;

L’ARCHITECTURE DU TEINT (Face Architect)
The skin is a canvas, meant to be accentuated with subtle hints of colour. Beautifully-flawless skin should appear bare, yet glow from within. The digital revolution has brought forth the need to create a pixel-perfect nude base for precise photography effect every single time.

L’ART DU REGARD (Eye Artistry)
Let your eyes do the talking with sophisticated details that take you way beyond conventional eye makeup. The ultimate French touch is sublimely tailored to perfection with sophistication and mystique. With a skilful flick of the brush, eyes are accentuated in a few simple steps and come alive with the look you have in mind.

LA OBSESSION DE LA COULEUR (Color Obsession)
The quintessential Parisian beauty look is now yours, with an array of daring shades and textures to choose from. Work with a dream colour palette beyond your wildest imaginations, leaving lips accented with an infinite richness of colour. Create, enhance, reveal and flaunt your mood. Choose one colour and make it yours.Express it with confidence.

Speaking to media at the launch, Daniel Lim, Group Product Manager of L’Oreal Paris Malaysia said, “With a brand new direction and approach, L’Oréal Paris Makeup Designer is set to change the way women look at L’Oréal Paris cosmetics. Apart from the False Lash Superstar Mascara, we’re adding other exciting products such as True Match Genius Two Way Cake, Glam Shine Balm, Color Riche La Palette to the line. With a wide selection of innovative formulas and textures, Malaysian beauty enthusiasts will certainly be spoilt for choice.”

Adding creativity and excitement to the event was Malaysian makeup maestro Geraldine Loy, who showcased her interpretation of the Parisian Chic look with L’Oréal Paris Makeup Designer line of products. “The Malaysian woman already carries with her an Asian charm and what I did with the three looks I created was to add a touch of French chic, each focusing on specific area to highlight flawless skin and face structure, mesmerising eyes and feminine lips. My inspiration came from the colours that are suitable for Asian skin tones,together with a Parisian flair and everyday glamour that L’Oréal Paris makeup is well-known for.”

“The Face Architect look I created focuses on ‘nude’ makeup to bring out skin’s dewy texture, as if lit from within. For a second skin effect, skip the last step of loose powder, but highlight the upper cheeks, nose bridge and chin for a three-dimensional effect. My version of Eye Artistry is all about making a statement. Lush eyelashes are complemented with a splash of blue eyeshadow and geometric eyeliner, which is a daring yet ultra-fashionable way to stand out from the crowd. I mixed a hint of lipbalm to get an avantgarde, glossy finish. As for Color Obsession look, I paired pastel eye makeup with a strong lip colour, using a matte finish lipstick as the base, topped off with glossy tinted lipbalm for a subtle sheen. You can never go wrong with dark red, which is easier to carry than classic red lipstick!” Loy explained.

Along with the new brand direction, L’Oréal Paris also introduces a new way to experience makeup in augmented reality. Featuring an exclusive technology from major Hollywood studios,this first-of-its-kind digital application is known as Makeup Genius, which lets you create your own look or try ready-to-wear looks curated by L’Oréal Paris makeup artists with the touch of a screen. Instantly, your smartphone is transformed into a mirror; and the makeup actually follows your face as you move and make expressions. Now, the term ‘try before you buy’ is no longer a dream, but a reality.

“Makeup Genius by L’Oréal Paris Makeup Designer is available for free on the App Store and Google Play. It allows you to try on your favourite products even before you buy them. No matter where you are what time it is, you can try on signature celebrity looks from the likes of Fan Bing Bing and others. If you’ve always wanted to put on a bold red lip colour or have always wanted to try smoky eye makeup, but don’t know what shade suits you, now’s the perfect chance to do so. There are so many colours to choose from and various combinations you can explore, your makeup design possibilities are limitless at your fingertips!” shared Lim.

In line with the Parisian Chic looks, the models' hairstyles were created by the team at Centro Hair Salon. Known for its precision cuts and fashion-forward trends, Centro Hair Salon is helmed by Kevin Woo who owned an outlet at The Gardens. Both Iva and I got fascinated with the models makeover done by the L’Oréal Paris Makeup team, they looked glowing and stunning with latest in-trend beauty makeup of this century.

I was feeling totally excited that night after receiving new L’Oréal Paris Makeup that I can play with and I fell in love with the colours plus the new personalised L’Oréal Paris Lipstick that they engraved 'Jacinta Chong' for me, where both writers wished they could put their surnames on the lipstick too. Haha...For Chinese, keeping our surname is a pride even for the Chinese who married French etc., you're supposed to remain using your Chinese surname wherever you go. For more infos about L’Oréal Paris Makeup Designer new innovative products, check out lorealparismalaysia? or http://www.lorealparis.com.my/
