Venice, Italy

Venice is like an island where we need to take a water taxi to cross over the sea. Along the cruise, you’ll enjoy spectacular and magnificent views of Venice city along the way. Punctuality is very important in taking water taxi, once we have booked the time like 10am, we need to be there on time.

Venice is a city in northeast of Italy sited on a group of 118 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges. Venice is renowned for the beauty of its setting, its architecure and its artworks. The city in its entirety is listed as a World Heritage Site, along with its lagoon.

Venice has also been described by the Times Online as being one of Europe's most romantic cities. No doubt about it as I'm one of the beneficial person who's benefiting from it. Read this FB status and you'll know why...Haha!

Last Sunday after my facial spa, I met Rambo at Times Bookshop for mags. After that, I plan to continue with my shopping and he needs to run his errands so he said, "Kiss kiss first" as we need to go our separate ways. I told him, "We're not in Italy anymore, we're now in KL liao." He kissed anyway and bid "Bye, c ya later"(follow my signature  ending). Haha...I always wanted to go Italy because I know it's a romantic place but just never thought that I'll be bringing a romantic husband back home. That's life, C'est la vie!" (FB status)

The Gondola Station along the sea water in Venice. I love the environment here with romantic and relaxed atmosphere of Venice. People here never rush to go anywhere but really into enjoying life slowly, walking their cute dogs with friends or on touring mood like us.

I enjoy my shopping here in Venice as everything seem to be so wonderful, cute, attractive and it's in good quality although the price here can be expensive selling at boutique shops. Everywhere I stopped, I wanted to buy something special here in Venice. I bought souvenirs for my family and especially to my dear Charmers, the signature glass-making earrings and necklace that are 'Made In Italy’. They loved it and asked me to wear it for them asap.

Haha…Rambo also think it’s nice and asked me to keep a pair for myself but I just got myself a Glass Watch instead. To me, it’s really special as I finally found one that I liked among the 100+ designs in 6 shops that shown to me.All are in different designs because it’s depending on the expertise designers who designed the colours and shapes. Lucky I found one that I liked or else, I’m gonna be sad over it as I intend to buy it already.

In Venice, one of the most popular meal is this Squid Ink Spaghetti that comes with a plate of salad, seafood platter with fried squid and fish. At first sight, I didn’t feel like eating it at all because it look so dark in black colour but I was too hungry and I finally took the 1st bite just to taste the special dish only.

Mamma Mia, thank God it’s yummy and I had it finish the whole plate. Then dessert served was their signature Gelato that tasted natural Vanilla. I prefer the Florence type, soury taste but yummy more.

Most of my tour members asked me if I would take a ride on the Gondola ride, I told them “Yea, I’m looking forward to it. Come to Venice must ride on it” although Rambo told me it's quite expensive for RM100 per person or EUR$120-180 (with Champagne) per Gondola.

I told Rambo already, “I wana ride on it no matter how much it's gonna cost me as coming to Venice, this is the must do agenda we must fulfilled in Italy trip.”And he agreed with me as long I'm happy and reminded me to bring more Euros.

Many didn’t ride on this Gondola ride so we need to get our own deal by asking around the Gondola operators until we got the best deal. I got the best deal at EUR$80 per Gondola for all of us. Haha…we had so much fun riding this Gondola ride with another family joining us.

At first they hesitated either to go or not but I told them, must ride on it once in our lifetime and esp. we’re already here in Venice, it's such a great opportunity to enjoy this wonderful water world of Venice.

One of the beautiful place where our Gondola ride also passed through this water city with beautiful bridge like the photo above and romantic scenes like lovers kissing each other at one corner to another corner. It's really romantic I must say, everywhere I go and whenever I go for my shopping at Venice, I see lovers exchanging kisses everywhere.

I fully recommend to those lovers who wana propose for a marriage, honeymoon or 10th Anniversary Marriage to Italy for good memories to reminisce in years to come. I enjoy Venice so much with my dear hubby Rambo, I think it's worthwhile celebrating our 19th Anniversary together in Italy. It feels like we're falling in love all over again.
