Malaysia donated more than RM100,000 worth of products to the flood victims at
Kuantan today. The distribution will also take place at Mentakab and
Dungun in the next few days. Among the products include AVON Intimates,
AVON Fashions and Home like intimate apparel, curtain, bedsheets, food
containers, water bottles, personal care products like deodorant who are truly
in need.
“As the company that cares, we hope these
AVON products would help to lessen the flood victims’ burden.” said Carolyn Nur
Amira Lee, Avon Malaysia Managing Director during the donation drive at Kampung
Razali, Kuantan this morning.
Carolyn and AVON HQ management team also
visited two AVON representatives who are badly affected during the recent
flood. Aims to help them start their business again, AVON extended
approximately RM15,000 worth of AVON products to them. Krishnaveny a/p
Govinden, 33 years old joined since 10 years ago was devasted when
she lost most of her AVON products stock during the flood attack. “I am very
thanful to AVON for the donation and this is truly the company for women! Thank
you AVON!” said Krishnaveny when she received RM10,000 worth of AVON products
from Carolyn.
Meanwhile, Azizah, 40 years old who lives in
Inderapura Kuantan was really touched by the visit by Carolyn and AVON HQ staff
from Kuala Lumpur. “When the flood took place, i was out doing some grocery
shopping. When I rushed home, I was shocked to see most of house furniture
including AVON product stock was soaked in water. This donation of new stock
would really helped me start my business again.” said Azizah happily. Azizah
received RM5,000 worth of AVON products from Carolyn.
